Leave a comment! Five Ways to Tell You’re Not Really a User Experience Designer
More often than not these days, when people say “user experience designer”, they really mean “user interface designer”. To make clarification easier, I’m starting a list.
Here are five ways to tell that you’re not really a UX designer.
- Behavioral data never influences your design decisions
- Your “years of experience” tell you enough about how to arrange an interface
- Flow is never worked out with wireframes and prototypes
- You don’t see the need for test groups
- Experience = interface (in your mind)
This is not meant to be a complete list. Contributions are welcome.
