Old Flash Games
Graphically these old Flash games could use some work, but they were a lot of fun to create. Haven’t used them in a while and they’re both a little buggy, missing some pieces that I can’t seem to find on the old hard drives.
One is a Space Invaders type game where you’re a high school janitor fending off a cat invasion. Built this with a student of mine (graphics were his).
See Maynard vs. The Cats for more info.
The other is a connect the dots game which is supposed to conclude with revealing what the drawing was, but I can’t find the XML templates.
What was really cool about the dots game as it also served as a creation tool; in other words, it had a “new” mode where you could create your own games. Worked decently, but I never quite finished it and no longer have anything server-side to handle the saving.
See Connect The Dots Games and Creation Tool in the lab for more info.

Maynard vs. The Cats (Flash Game)
The Maynard game came from a request one of my students made a few years back about creating a Flash game around a janitor at his high school. Why not? All the artwork was created my Scott (student) and during our Flash lessons, together we worked out the code. I probably ought to spend some time updating and improving it as it was a lot of fun.

Connect The Dots Game and Creation Tool (Flash)
This was originally created as a promotional tool but was never used. On completion, a background image would appear, but those have since been lost and I’ve not yet created replacements.
Each connect-the-dots “page” is created via XML and so could be generated externally. However this version also lets the user create their own pages; saving option is currently disabled since it requires server side code that isn’t available.
Click “New” at the bottom of the game to enter Create mode and follow the on screen guide for controls.
